The Samaritans Way Ultra is organised by U Prevail Events and takes place on 6 June 2026 at Guisborough Rugby Club. The event is held in partnership with Teesside Samaritans and profits from the event will be donated directly to the Teesside Samaritans branch. The published route has been updated from the 2025 courses. The event holds a race permit from the Association of Running Clubs (ARC).

Race format and entry

  • 40 km Marathon Run
  • 60 km Ultra Marathon Run
  • 60 km Relay Team option

Age limits are specified for entries: the 40 km event is open to entrants aged 18 and over on the event date; the 60 km events (individual and relay) are open to entrants aged 20 and over on the event date. Entry pricing is published in tiers. For the 40 km event the published prices range from about £45 to £65 depending on affiliation and timing of entry; for the 60 km event prices range from about £63 to £85; relay team entry is shown around £73 to £75.

The event includes a finishers medal, an event T-shirt, food and drink at the finish, fully stocked checkpoints, a fully marshalled route and medical cover on course. The organiser also offers a 100 Club for early unique entries and a Predictor League where competitors can enter a predicted time for a separate scoring competition. Hardmoors 30 is a winter trail race from Robin Hood's Bay along dramatic cliff top sections of the Cleveland Way, covering about 30 to 32 miles with roughly 3400 ft of ascent. Entries were limited and this edition is now full.
