The Samaritans Way Ultra takes place on 6 June 2026 at Guisborough Rugby Club. The event is organised in partnership with Teesside Samaritans and marks a National Volunteer Week activity. The routes have been updated from the 2025 courses. Profits from the event will be donated directly to the Teesside Samaritans branch.

Races, features and entry

  • 40 km Marathon Run
  • 60 km Ultra Marathon Run

Runners can take part individually or in a relay. The event holds a race permit from the Association of Running Clubs (ARC). Included for competitors are a finishers medal, an event T-shirt, food and drink at the finish, fully stocked checkpoints, a fully marshalled route and medical cover on course. Pricing is published for affiliated and not affiliated entrants: early bird (up to 01/01/26) 40 km £45/£47 and 60 km £63/£65; standard 40 km £55/£57 and 60 km £76/£78; late entry (01/05/26 to 18/05/26) 40 km £63/£65 and 60 km £83/£85. The first 50 unique entries will form half of the Samaritans 100 Club and receive a personal gift. Enjoy an autumn 5k trail at Kiplin Hall, winding through gardens, woods and grassland on a compact, spectator friendly course. Warm up with a hot drink and spiced flapjack at the finish.

Enjoy the Winter Trail Runs at Dalby Forest on 30 November 2025 with scenic forest trails and North York Moors views. Choose 10k, half or full marathon with live chip timing and a finisher medal. Well controlled dogs on a lead are welcome.
