North Leeds Skyline : Otley trail races

The North Leeds Skyline takes place at Station Top, East Chevin Road, Otley. The event runs on public footpaths and trail terrain and features multiple distance options and a relay format that use marked routes and checkpoints.

The ultra course includes a sequence of numbered checkpoints with water and manned aid stations; snacks are available at Bank Top Farm and Shadwell. Ultra runners may leave a bag to be transported to Bank Top Farm. Marshals cover the Sprint and Super routes; ultra runners navigate between checkpoints and must carry the provided route map.

Courses are colour coded at splits: blue for ultra, green for super, yellow for challenge, and pink for all routes. Mandatory kit for all races includes a 500 ml water container, the route map, a waterproof jacket or extra warm layer, and shoes suitable for off-road running. Ultra entrants must also carry a mobile phone. Additional recommended items include a headtorch, whistle, warm hat, and survival blanket; kit requirements may be updated for adverse weather.

Race HQ provides toilets a short walk into Otley and bag storage. Parking is available at Station Top, Otley. No crew vehicles are allowed at Bank Top Farm except relay teams, with a one-vehicle limit and a 5 mph restriction. Post-race awards are presented as results are processed. Pinhaw is an 8 km fell race on 8 May 2026 near Earby in the South/West Pennines, climbing about 213 m. Entry is available both in advance and on the day with modest fees.

Three circular challenge routes of 26.2, 23 and 18 miles around the Colne Valley near Marsden. Entries are by SIEntries with a 150 person limit and include checkpoints, refreshments and a finish meal.

A self-navigated trail event around Delph, Saddleworth covering about 19 miles with 3000 ft of ascent. The unmarked course visits five trig points, has three manned checkpoints, and requires full kit and a minimum age of 18.
