Bowley Hill Race is a senior only fell event on Mon 25 May 2026 near Great Harwood, England, covering 8.8 km with 300 m ascent. Pre entry and day entry are available and the race holds a UK Athletics permit with FRA insurance.

A guided, socially paced 14 mile trail run around Thornton-le-Dale in the North York Moors, limited to small groups of six. The route crosses streams and hamlets and includes an optional post-run drink and local food.

Stanhill Fell Race in Oswaldtwistle covers 4.5 mile from the Britannia Tap & Grill. It is Race 5 of the Accrington Fell & Trail Series and entry on the day costs £6.

A new fell race from Sinfin Running Club around the Chevin covering 8.9 km with 315 m of climb. The marked course uses two short loops and a figure of eight and includes some short road sections.

A summer evening five mile race from Halton Mill in Lancaster following the river Millennium path, meadows and a technical single track. Entries open in April with fees that differ for affiliated and unaffiliated runners, minimum age 16.

An 8.5 mile fell race around Glaisdale Rigg with about 1850 ft of ascent, a steep green-lane descent off Snowdon Nab and a finish at the Arncliffe Arms. Limited to 100 runners and part of the Esk Valley Fell Summer series.

A traditional old English sports meeting on 28 May 2026 for all ages, with prize money and gate entries. Published fees of £6 for adults and £4 for children appear alongside a note that entries are free.

An in-person 8 km trail loop around Calke Abbey nature park, meeting at Ticknall Village Hall Car Park. Organised by Run 4 U and Perform Running Club, with free parking and refunds available up to one day before the event.

A backyard ultra at Far Coley Farm on 29 May 2026 where runners complete a 4.167 mile loop every hour until one runner remains. The event features a race village, limited on site accommodation and basic recovery facilities.

A 3 km or 5 km run at Bowdon Rugby Club with drinking stations every kilometre and a mix of inflatable and non inflatable obstacles. Drinks are included and only participants aged 18 or over may take part.

OMM Lite in Grasmere is a map based navigation event over one or two days where solo runners or teams locate numbered checkpoints to score points, with timing chips, live tracking, bespoke maps and a post event hot meal included.

Scenic 5K, 10K and half marathon options in Bingley organised by Its Grim Up North Running, with finishers receiving a jumble medal plus hot food and a drink. Online places have sold out but places on the day are available.

Three trail routes start at Bakewell Showground and explore varied Peak District terrain including moors, valleys and parts of the Pennine Way. The Half Marathon route includes outposts and does not allow dogs.

Two category A fell races around the head of the Duddon Valley presenting long and short mountain courses with significant ascent. Strong navigation skills and full mountain kit are required.

A 10 mile fell race in the Lake District with about 3000 feet of climb over Dow and Caw. It is a category A event that requires navigational skill, proper kit and experience on rough mountain terrain.

A timed track ultra at Woodbank Park where runners complete as many 400 m laps as possible within 6, 12 or 24 hour limits, with chip timing, an aid station and indoor facilities on site.

Test yourself on a scenic fell course in the South West Pennines near Kelbrook, 5.5 km with 213 m of climb. On the day entry only, £7, with £2 parking at The Old Barn. Teams welcome and minimum age 16; no junior races.

A 5k obstacle event at Stewart Park in Middlesbrough with mud obstacles on tarmac and grass paths passing the Captain Cook Birth Place Museum. Waves run every 15 minutes and participants must be 13 or older.
