Winter Solstice Strider 2026

The Winter Solstice Strider takes place on Monday 21st December 2026 at St Ives Estate, Bingley. The event is organised by Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice and supported by STRI and Bingley St. Ives Golf Club, with sponsorship from Warters and Co. Chartered accountants.

The course is multi terrain with an undulating profile. Runners may complete one or two laps to make 5 km or 10 km; walkers are limited to one lap (5 km). The event is chip timed and is not suitable for wheelchairs.

A virtual option is available for those who cannot attend in person; virtual participants may run a 5 km or 10 km at a location of their choice on the shortest day and will receive the event medal by post in advance.

Entry is limited to 720 places and entry on the day is not available. Entry fees shown include race fees and administration: 5 km adult £24.00, 10 km £24.00, virtual 5 km or 10 km £17.50 (including medal and postage), and 6-17 years 5 km (accompanied) £11.50.

Race facilities at Race HQ, STRI St Ives Estate, include water, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. All participants receive a bespoke Solstice Strider medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
