Jolly Holly Jog 2026
The Jolly Holly Jog takes place on Monday 28 December 2026 in Ripon, North Yorkshire. The event is a single-lap, multi-terrain road and off-road race of approximately 10 kilometres on an undulating course that mainly follows public footpaths through parkland.
The course starts at Hell Wath Nature Reserve and continues up Whitcliffe Lane onto footpaths through Mackershaw Woods and Studley Deer Park, passing a memorial bench before exiting the main gate at Studley. Runners follow Plumpton Lane and return via a short steep climb in Mackershaw Woods, cross to Whitcliffe Lane and finish back on the field at Hell Wath. The route is not suitable for wheelchairs, prams or pushchairs. A route map will be displayed at Race HQ on the day.
Race HQ is at Panthers Football Club, Hell Wath Playing Fields. Facilities listed for the event include water, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing facilities, showers or baggage storage. Mobile refreshments will be available at the start and finish area. Prizes are awarded for first to third male and female finishers and for age grade winners; a memorial trophy is presented annually to the first locally based club runner. The event supports a local food bank and a list of requested non perishable items will be available at Race HQ.
Entry is limited to 1,000 places. Early bird pricing applies to the first 400 entries; published entry fees include race administration and card charges. Minimum age is 15 and dogs are not permitted.
