Pennine Trail Marathon

INOV-8 Pennine Trail Marathon is a 43.6km trail race set in the Pennines around Worsthorne, Burnley, Lancashire. The route climbs about 3,814 feet, beginning in the woods around Hurstwood and tracing rocky trails from Gorple to Top Withins, past Bronte Waterfall and through Hardcastle Crags. Runners pass Widdop Reservoir and Gorple Rocks before returning to the finish area.

The event is fully flagged and marshalled, with four checkpoints and water and food stations, plus post-race goodies and professional photography. Organisers donate to local causes such as Mountain Rescue, the National Trust and Trees for Burnley. A vibrant event village, on-site parking and strong community support complete the experience.
