Calverley Chaos is a Christmas edition trail race organised by Great Owl Running on 20 December 2025. The race is held from The Railway Inn, Calverley Bridge, Calverley, Leeds LS13 1NR. Entry is limited to 100 runners and fees are listed in a range between £18 and £26.

Course and logistics

The route follows the Calverley Millennium Way over public footpaths and a canal towpath. Distance is approximately 12 km (about 7.5 miles) with roughly 200 m of elevation gain. After the first 100 m runners split to run either clockwise or anti-clockwise; the course is permanently waymarked with blue, yellow and green markers and will have extra pink markers on the day. The race starts and finishes at The Railway Inn. Facilities at Race HQ include toilets and bag storage.

Safety and kit

The organiser requires runners to carry a windproof or waterproof jacket and recommends trail shoes with good grip. The event is cupless and participants must bring their own water container.

Access and parking

The Railway Inn is accessible by the Leeds Liverpool Canal and has bicycle locking. Drivers are advised to use parking on Calverley Lane off the A6120 rather than Calverley Bridge, which is often full. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
