Trail, Trains & Tunnels 2025 is a 6-hour timed running challenge held in Penistone, Sheffield, along the scenic Trans Pennine Trail and Don Valley Trail. Participants complete 7-mile loops that include crossing the historic Rumtickle Viaduct and running through the 924-foot Thurgoland Tunnel, opened in 1845. Runners can complete as many laps as possible within the 6-hour limit, with 2 laps equating to 14 miles and 4 laps to 28 miles. The event features aid stations at the start/finish and midpoint, and offers a friendly atmosphere with hot drinks, cake, and indoor facilities at Penistone Community Centre.
