Trail, Trains & Tunnels returns to Penistone on Saturday 23 August 2025 for a six-hour endurance challenge on a 7-mile loop linking the Trans Pennine Trail and the Don Valley Trail, crossing Rumtickle Viaduct and passing Thurgoland Tunnel (924 ft, opened 1845). Runners can complete as many laps as they wish within the 6-hour window, e.g., 14 miles for two laps or 28 miles for four. The flat, off-road/paved course has aid stations at the start/finish and at the 3.5-mile turnaround.
