Ilkley Skyline (35km / 22km)

The Ilkley Skyline is a fell running route on the moors around Ilkley. It started in 2013 as an "anytime challenge" and is now a classic event.

The race is a loop that starts and finishes at The Hermit Inn in Burley Woodhead. The full route is 22 miles (35 km) with approximately 910 meters of elevation gain. It includes summits like Beamsley Beacon and Round Hill, covering at least eight different moors. The terrain is mostly fell or field running, with some short road sections. There are checkpoints and two aid stations on course, at Addingham (14km) and Timble (25km).

The route is unmarked. Runners must navigate themselves using a route map or GPX file, which is provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
