Holme Moss Fell Race is a single-day fell race on 26 July 2026 based at Cartworth Moor Cricket Club, Holmfirth, HD9 2TU, about 1 mile south of Holmfirth. The advertised distance is 28.5 km (17.8 miles) with approximately 1285 m ascent. The route includes sections of the Pennine Way and extensive moorland terrain with steep climbs and descents.

Participants register at Cartworth Moor Cricket Club and finish at the same location. The course starts near grid reference SE133059 and follows a loop that passes Holme Moss, Tooleyshaw Moor, Crowden, Bareholme Moss, Laddow Rocks and Black Hill before returning to Holme Moss and the finish at SE134067. There are designated drink stations at Holme Moss, Crowden and Laddow Rocks.

This event is category AL and is intended for experienced fell runners. Navigation skills are essential and participants must meet FRA safety requirements. Mandatory kit will be checked. Runners are expected to be capable of completing the course within the organiser's time guideline and must comply with marshal instructions at checkpoint cut offs. Sweepers operate on the course and late starts are not permitted.

Entry details: minimum age 18, entry limit 200, entry fees listed for FRA members and non members. After the race food and drink are provided to runners.
