Golden Acre Relay 2026

The Golden Acre Relay is an evening team relay held on Tuesday 14 July 2026 at Golden Acre Park in Leeds. Teams consist of three runners; each team completes three laps of a trail course, with each lap being 2.75 miles, on an undulating profile.

Entry is limited to 150 teams. Only online entries are accepted and there will be strictly no entries on the night. The event is only open to UKA affiliated club members.

Teams may enter the following categories: Male Open, Female Open, Male Vets with all three runners aged 35 or over, Female Vets with all three runners aged 35 or over, Mixed with at least one male and one female, Junior Boys with all three runners in School Years 8 to 12, and Junior Girls with all three runners in School Years 8 to 12.

The course is trail and not suitable for wheelchairs. Race headquarters are at Golden Acre Park near the Arthington Road car park. Park toilets will be available but are a 5 to 10 minute jog or walk from race registration. There is no water provision, no distance markers, no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage.

Entry fees are £16 for the adult categories and £12 for the junior categories. The event will be licensed by the Trail Running Association and run under UK Athletics rules, with a TRA permit pending. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Scenic 5K, 10K and half marathon options in Bingley organised by Its Grim Up North Running, with finishers receiving a jumble medal plus hot food and a drink. Online places have sold out but places on the day are available.

Test yourself on a scenic fell course in the South West Pennines near Kelbrook, 5.5 km with 213 m of climb. On the day entry only, £7, with £2 parking at The Old Barn. Teams welcome and minimum age 16; no junior races.

Run the Trunce 4 fell race in the Peak District from Oxspring Playing Field, a scenic 6.2 km route with 190 m of climb. On the day entries are just £3 and a 3 km junior race for ages 10 plus makes it great for families.
