AIRE Ultra Trail and Super Trail Half

The event is based at Piglove By The River, a beer garden in Citu’s Climate Innovation District in Leeds. It offers two trail race options that follow riverside paths and public footpaths, with some sections on tarmac.

The course is described as very fast and flat with good quality footpath conditions. Runners will encounter a couple of small bridges with steps. The route is signposted with pink arrows; road crossings and turnaround points will be clearly marked and marshalled. The route passes St Aiden's and Fairburn Ings Nature Reserves.

  • Ultra Trail: approx 43 to 45 km / 27 to 28 miles
  • Super Trail Half: approx 22 km / 14 miles

Facilities at race headquarters include toilets and bag storage. Parking is available at CitiPark Leeds Dock, Armouries Drive LS10 1LE; Piglove is close to Granary Wharf, the Royal Armouries and Leeds Station. Organisers encourage arrival by foot, bicycle or public transport.

What is provided includes a locally made and sourced finisher medal and a pint from Piglove Brewery for finishers. The ultra has no less than five water stations, four with snacks; the half has no less than two water stations with snacks. Spot prizes may be awarded. A Category AS fell race of 7.5 km with 375 m ascent around Todmorden, based at The Hare and Hound pub. Minimum age 16, full FRA kit required; refreshments and prize giving are held in the pub.

A short, club organised fell race on 24 June 2026 in Brushes Clough Country Park near Shaw, Oldham. The **6.1 km** course crosses moorland and forest trails, requires specific safety kit and navigational awareness, and is pre entry only.

An evening pop up running event in Kirkstall offering 5k and 10k options, on-site food and drinks, and a jumble medal for all finishers. Entry can be paid on the day or online with fees listed between £12 and £17.

Join the Eldwick Gala fell race in the South West Pennines, a scenic but testing 3 mile course with 168 m climb and short junior races. Limited to 200 runners, this community event blends tough trails and festival fun.
