She Strides Metric Marathon

The event is a trail Metric Marathon of 26 km that starts and finishes in the centre of Hebden Bridge. The route is an out-and-back across open moorland that passes Stoodley Pike and reaches a turnaround at the car park of the White House pub.

The course begins with a steep uphill onto the trail, then becomes relatively flat across sandy and rocky paths and over stone slabs. After passing reservoirs the route reaches the turnaround, where a water station provides water and squash. Runners return along the same line of travel and descend back into the town centre for the finish.

The course is marked with flags and is supported by marshals. A tail runner and a halfway checkpoint are in place. A secure baggage store is available for belongings. All finishers receive a medal.

Registration takes place at The Excited Goat on Crown Street in Hebden Bridge. The event lists an entry fee of £35. The organiser specifies a minimum age of 16 for entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
