She Strides Metric Marathon is a trail race of 26 km held on 18 July 2026, starting and finishing in the centre of Hebden Bridge. The entry fee is £35.00 and the minimum age is 16. The event is organised by She Strides and registration takes place at the Excited Goat on Crown Street, Hebden Bridge. All finishers receive a medal.

Course and facilities

The route is an out-and-back that passes Stoodley Pike and reaches the car park at the White House pub as the turnaround point. It begins with a steep climb onto the trail, then flattens across moorland and continues over sandy and rocky trails and stone slabs. The return follows the same course, finishing with a descent back into the town centre. The course is marked with flags and includes a tail runner and a halfway checkpoint. Marshals are placed along the route. There is a water station at the turnaround point and another at the finish. A secure baggage store is provided.

Logistics

Hebden Bridge train station is a 10-minute walk from registration. Main bus stops are on New Road. Parking in town can be limited, and there is very limited free parking in local car parks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
