She Strides Metric Marathon

The event is a trail Metric Marathon of 26 km that starts and finishes in the centre of Hebden Bridge. The route includes a steep initial climb onto the moor, then a relatively flat section past Stoodley Pike along sandy and rocky trails, followed by stone slabs and reservoirs. Runners reach a turnaround near the White House pub car park and return along the same route, finishing with a downhill back into the town centre.

The course is marked with flags and supported by marshals. A tail runner monitors the rear of the field and a halfway checkpoint is provided. A water station at the turnaround offers water and squash. A secure baggage store is available for participants and all finishers receive a medal.

Registration is handled at The Excited Goat Coffee Lounge on Crown Street in Hebden Bridge. Parking in town is limited at weekends; Hebden Bridge train station is about a 10 minute walk from registration and main bus stops are on New Road. Town car parks exist but free parking is very limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
