Hopwood Trot

The Hopwood Trot is a multi-terrain running event on the paths, tracks and country lanes surrounding historic Hopwood Hall on the outskirts of Middleton in Greater Manchester. The course is approximately five and a half miles (8.8 km) and is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Registration number and chip collection are based in the Sports Hall of the college, with the race starting on the adjoining sports field before joining the course. The organiser is Middleton Harriers. There is an entry limit of 200 and the minimum age is 16 on the event date.

Entries open on 30 December 2025 and close on 3 August 2026. Entry fees are listed as UKA Member £12.00 and Non Member £14.00. The event lists prizes for the first three male and first three female finishers, a prize for first in each age category, and team prizes for male and female teams.
