Piethorne 10K
The Piethorne 10K is a circular trail race around Piethorne and Ogden reservoirs that reaches the edge of Hollingworth Lake. The course crosses the M62 both over and under and features numerous twists, turns and changes of gradient. The route covers 10 km with approximately 275 metres (900 feet) of ascent.
The event is scheduled for Sunday 16th August 2026 and uses Bulls Head, Lane Bottom, Newhey, Rochdale OL16 3TD as the venue. Entry fees are listed at £14 with an additional £2 for non affiliated runners; entries on the day are £20. The minimum age for participants is 16.
The race is organised under the Fell Runners Association rules and is included in the Trail Running Association. Results are available for previous years including 2021 through 2025. Volunteer marshals are used at the event; volunteers receive race credit to use at future races.
