The Eccles Pike Fell Race, organized by Goyt Valley Striders, is one of the oldest fell races in the UK, dating back to the 19th century. This challenging 3.4-mile (5.4 km) race features a steep 1001-foot (305 m) climb, running from Buxworth to the summit of Eccles Pike and back.
