Cromwell Bottom - Rock up n' Run

This event is a pop up Summer Series trail meeting held at Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve, Elland Road, Brighouse, HD6 2RG. Races are licensed by the Trail Running Association under UKA rules. Entry can be paid on the day or online in advance. Registration is available on site.

The programme offers two distance options:

  • 5 km trail race
  • 10 km trail race

All finishers receive a jumble medal. Runners are offered hot food, a beer or soft drink, and a sweetie bag. The venue provides free car parking.

The organiser is Its Grim Up North Running. The event is presented as an in-person community trail gathering focused on evening trail running within the nature reserve setting. A new 10 km trail race around Clowbridge Reservoir and the Pennine Bridleway on 23 July 2026, featuring 175 m elevation and organised by Run JMC.

A single-lap, mostly flat 10 kilometres trail race at RSPB St Aidan's Country Park near Leeds on 24 July 2026. Entry is limited to 300 runners and on-course facilities include water stations, distance markers and toilets.

The Punk Panther Takes the Hindmost will take place in Otley on Saturday 25 July 2026.

Alderman's Ascent is an 8.5 km fell race with over 400 m of climb visiting Pots and Pans and Shaw Rocks around Alderman's Hill in Greenfield.
