The PieAthlon takes place on 20 December 2025 at The Dusty Miller Pub, 2 Gilead Road, Huddersfield, HD3 4XH. It is organised by the 25th Salendine Nook Scout Group in collaboration with The Dusty Miller. Entry fee is £20. Entries opened 9 August 2025 and close 5 December 2025. Entries so far: 46 participants. Minimum age is 14 or older.

Race details and practical information

The event combines a 6 km trail run with pies to taste at three pie stations along the route. The course is mainly off-road, includes a section called the "bog of doom", and offers views of the Longwood area. The race starts and finishes at The Dusty Miller Pub. Fancy dress is encouraged and there is a prize for best fancy dress. Medals are presented to all entrants and there are prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 1st Lady, 1st Junior, and Best Fancy Dress.

Parking near the start is very limited; limited parking is available on Longwood Edge Road. Bags can be left at the start and will be stored in The Dusty Miller; there are no showering facilities. The route can be muddy, so a change of clothes may be needed. Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be under the owner’s control.
