PieAthlon 2025 is a timed community running event on Saturday 20 December 2025 at The Dusty Miller Pub, 2 Gilead Road, Huddersfield, HD3 4XH. The event combines a 6 km trail run with tasting stations; there are three pie stations along the route. The event is organised by 25th Salendine Nook Scout Group in collaboration with The Dusty Miller. Entries opened on 9 August 2025 and closed on 5 December 2025. The minimum age is 14 or older. The entry fee is £20.00 and 100 participants were listed at the time the information was published. Medals will be presented to all entrants and prizes are available for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 1st Lady, 1st Junior and Best Fancy Dress. Fancy dress is encouraged and there is a prize for best fancy dress.

Course and logistics

The route starts and finishes at The Dusty Miller in Longwood and follows mainly off-road terrain, including an area described as the "bog of doom," with broad views of the surrounding scenery. Parking near the start is very limited; some parking is available on Longwood Edge Road. Baggage may be left at the start and stored in The Dusty Miller. There are no showering facilities on site and the route can be muddy. Well behaved dogs are allowed but must be under their owner’s control. Grim Leodis is a canal and riverside trail event in Kirkstall with distances from 6.55 miles up to marathon. The lapped course mixes towpath, trail and road, with marshals, feed stations and a cupless approach.

A winter fell race from the Rams Head Inn across moorland and the Pennine Way, roughly 12 miles with 2100 feet of ascent. Checkpoints provide basic supplies and full FRA winter kit is required.

A chip timed 5k, 10k and half marathon around Heaton Park with mainly path running and one trail section. The event supports Shelter, offers medals and on-course marshals, and includes accessibility for buggies and most wheelchairs.

The St Aidan's Winter Beast is a 6.66-mile hilly trail race in Swillington, Leeds. It features a sluice crossing and sections of challenging off-path terrain. Entry is limited, with a distinct course around the RSPB nature reserve.
