PieAthlon 2025 is a timed community running event on Saturday 20 December 2025 at The Dusty Miller Pub, 2 Gilead Road, Huddersfield, HD3 4XH. The event combines a 6 km trail run with tasting stations; there are three pie stations along the route. The event is organised by 25th Salendine Nook Scout Group in collaboration with The Dusty Miller. Entries opened on 9 August 2025 and closed on 5 December 2025. The minimum age is 14 or older. The entry fee is £20.00 and 100 participants were listed at the time the information was published. Medals will be presented to all entrants and prizes are available for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 1st Lady, 1st Junior and Best Fancy Dress. Fancy dress is encouraged and there is a prize for best fancy dress.

Course and logistics

The route starts and finishes at The Dusty Miller in Longwood and follows mainly off-road terrain, including an area described as the "bog of doom," with broad views of the surrounding scenery. Parking near the start is very limited; some parking is available on Longwood Edge Road. Baggage may be left at the start and stored in The Dusty Miller. There are no showering facilities on site and the route can be muddy. Well behaved dogs are allowed but must be under their owner’s control. The 46th Calderdale Hike takes place on Saturday 11 April 2026 near Sowerby Bridge, offering 16, 24 and 35 mile routes for walkers and runners, with electronic timing and trophies awarded subject to terms.

Experience a classic fell race in the South and West Pennines covering 11.3 km with significant elevation gain. Starting in Wardle this event supports local rescue teams while offering a competitive course for club teams.

Trail races at Bramham Park on 12 April 2026 include 5km, 10km and a half marathon across estate trails and views. The event allows one controlled dog per runner and provides live chip timing and finisher medals.

A short fell race in Haworth with a 4.8 km route and 100 m climb, based at the Sun Inn. Entry on the day is available and finishers receive a Cadbury's Creme Egg.
