Arncliffe Gala fell race
The Arncliffe Gala fell race is organised by BOFRA and takes place at Arncliffe Village Green in North Yorkshire (BD23 5QD). The course leaves the green along a track to the bottom of the hillside, follows a steep climb to a summit run by a cairn, then descends in two stages along a sloping hillside before returning along the track to finish on the green. The route is a BOFRA championship counter.
The event notes that heavy rain or storm conditions that water log the route may require cancellation under Natural England rules and that the race organiser will decide on the day if this is necessary. A separate road race of four miles is also held as part of the gala.
