Arncliffe Gala (8 August 2026)

This is a fell race held at Arncliffe Village Green, North Yorkshire, BD23 5QD (Grid Reference 931719, What3Words ///earliest.monorail.magic). The event forms a BOFRA Championship counter. A separate 4 mile road race is also organised at the same gala.

Course, distances, categories and safety

The fell route leaves the village green along a track to the bottom of the hillside, then follows a steep climb to a summit and cairn. The descent is split by a run along a sloping hillside before returning along the track to the finish on the green.

  • 1.60 miles; 400 feet / 120 meters of climb
  • 4 miles; road race

Age categories listed for the event are Under 9, Under 12, Under 14, Under 17 and Seniors. A race map and race profile are not available. If heavy rain or storm conditions water log the route, the race may be cancelled under conditions set by Natural England; the RO will make the decision on the day.
