A mountain race in the Hill and Dale series covering 8 km with 800 m of climb on open mountain terrain. The route is anti clockwise and unmarked with a start at Ott Car Park and a minimum age of 15.

A chip-timed 5 km run in Trim on 12 June 2026, organised by Trim Athletic Club, with a riverside route past medieval monuments. First 450 entrants receive a technical t-shirt; entrants must be 16 or older.

Hen & Cock is a Hills and Dales mountain race at Hen Car Park on 18 June 2026. The course is about 5 km with roughly 500 m of climb; participants must be 15 or older and bring full body cover.

A two-race 4 Mile Series in County Kildare featuring a trail run in Donadea Forest and a road race in Clane. Events are open to walkers and runners and include prizes for first men and women and for first Clane AC members.

A marked 10 km mountain race in County Sligo with 300 m of ascent, Level B mandatory kit and membership of the North West League. Registration is at the MayFly Inn and there is a 2 km walk to the start.

An elimination event at Florence Court where runners repeat an approximately 4.2 mile loop, must finish each lap within one hour, and continue hourly until a single last one standing remains.

An obstacle race in Derry / Londonderry on 20 and 21 June 2026 featuring a 10 km course with over 50 natural and man made obstacles, plus separate 5 km teen and 2 km mini courses for younger participants.

A mountain race from Flagstaff to Carlingford of about 16.7 km with roughly 1,000 m ascent. The unmarked route forbids GPS and requires mandatory Level C kit; a free coach transfer is available for the first 70 registered athletes.

A point to point mountain race along the Cooley ridge to Slieve Foye, about 10.3 miles with 3,400 ft of ascent. Navigation and full mandatory kit are required; a free coach transfer is provided for the first 70 entrants.

A marked 6 km forest race at Donard Forest Park with about 400 m of climb, part of the Hills and Dales series. Entries open 20 March 2026 and age minimum is 15 on 1 January 2026.

July 2026

A mountain run on Benbulben with a 9.0 km main route and a 4.5 km short course. Level B mandatory kit is required and runners use a shuttle from Grange to Luke's Bridge.

Sea2Sky in Donard Park, Newcastle features evening 10K race and walk plus a 5K race that moves from promenade to forest and the Mourne foothills, with mixed road, trail and an open-mountain section and post-race refreshments.

Carnavaddy is a fully marked mountain running event in Ravensdale Forest with a long 10 km route and a short 5 km route, both including summit sections and woodland trails. Level B mandatory kit is required and GPS use is not permitted.

A mountain running event in County Roscommon with an 8.0 km anticlockwise gravel loop (250 m climb) and a 4.5 km junior/short course. Route fully marked, GPS not permitted, and Level B mandatory kit is required.

A 12 km mountain race in County Tyrone with 500 m of ascent to the Mullaghcarn summit. The fully marked course requires Level B kit and is organised by Carmen Runners as part of the IMRA Ulster Championships and NIMRA League.

A half marathon and 10k around the grounds and nearby forest of Hillsborough Castle, supporting Action Mental Health. The event includes distance markers, chip timing, race photos and a themed medal.

August 2026

Nephin is a mountain race in County Mayo with a 7.35 km route and 736 m ascent on a fully waymarked path. Level B kit is mandatory and a short junior out and back course is provided.

Seven Sevens is a mountain running event in County Down on 8 August 2026 covering 31 km with about 2800 m of ascent. Organised by BARF, the route has only major junction markings and GPS use is not allowed.

A last one standing Backyard Ultra at Florence Court with repeated 4.17 mile laps and one hour per lap; the event continues each hour until a single runner remains and is named Irish Champion 2026.

A marked mountain race on Knocknarea in County Sligo on 9 August 2026, featuring a 6.5 km route with 340 m ascent and an approximate 4 km short course. Level B mandatory kit is required and GPS is not allowed.
