Irish BYU Championship 2026

This is an Irish Championship backyard ultra held at Florence Court in Fermanagh, Ireland, organised by Hellevation Running. The event uses a repeated-lap format on a measured 4.17 mile route through paths and forested sections of the estate.

The course is flat at the start, rises with a small climb through trees to the halfway point, then descends back toward the finish. The route is suitable for repeated laps around the same circuit.

Standard backyard ultra rules apply. Each lap must be completed within one hour; runners who do not finish a lap within that time are eliminated. Laps begin at regular hourly intervals and continue until only one runner remains; only fully finished laps count. Pacers who are not registered participants are not permitted.

Prizes and awards are simple and event focused. All finishers receive a medal and an event t shirt. The last remaining runner is declared the Irish Champion 2026. Any runner who reaches 100 miles joins the Hellevation Running 100 mile club and receives a 100 mile club hoodie.
