Irish BYU Championship 2026

The Irish BYU Championship 2026 is a backyard ultra held on 8 August 2026 at Florence Court, Fermanagh (BT92 1DB), Ireland. The event uses a single loop of 4.17 miles that runs on paths and through forests around Florence Court.

Runners must complete the loop within one hour. The event begins a new lap on the hour each hour; competitors who do not finish inside the hour are eliminated. Only fully finished laps count. Laps continue on the hour until only one runner remains; that runner is the National Championship winner.

The course is flat at the start, then rises through trees to the halfway point before descending to the finish. All the usual rules for a Backyard event apply. No external pacers are allowed; only participants in the event may pace each other.

Entries open 11 April 2026 and close 1 August 2026. The minimum age is 16. The published entry fee is €90. Every finisher receives a medal and all entrants receive an event t-shirt. Any runner who reaches 100 miles joins the Hellevation Running 100 mile club and receives a 100 mile club hoodie.
