Irish BYU Championship 2026

The Irish BYU Championship is hosted by Hellevation Running at Florence Court in Fermanagh, IE. The event uses a repeated lap format on a measured 4.17 mile route that runs around the paths and forests of Florence Court.

Each lap must be completed within one hour. Laps start on the hour every hour and only fully finished laps count. Any runner who does not complete a lap inside the hour is eliminated. The sequence continues until only one runner remains; that final runner is declared the National Championship winner.

The course is flat at the start, rises through trees to the halfway point, then descends back to the finish. The event follows the standard Backyard Ultra rules for this format. Pacers who are not entered participants are not permitted; runners in the event may pace each other.

Entry details listed for this edition include a minimum age of 16, an entry fee of €90.00, an entry window from Saturday 11 April 2026 to Saturday 1 August 2026, and 20 participants recorded so far. All finishers receive a medal and an event t shirt. Runners who reach 100 miles join the Hellevation Running 100 mile club and receive a 100 mile club hoodie.
