Loughshannagh is a mountain race in the Hills and Dales series organised by Newcastle AC. The course covers 8 km with a total climb of 800 m on open mountain terrain. The route is run anti clockwise and is not waymarked, and the start location is Ott Car Park lay-by with grid reference 277 268.

Participants must be at least 15 years old on or before 1 January 2026. Entry fees are shown as £12 for affiliated runners and £14 for unaffiliated runners. Entries open on 20 March 2026 and close on 10 June 2026; entries recorded so far total 60 participants.

Race numbers must be attached to the chest; fixing numbers to shorts may result in disqualification. Full body cover must be carried; in poor conditions runners who fail the kit check at the finish may be disqualified. Presentation takes place at Mary Margaret’s Hilltown Road.
