Spelga Skyline

This mountain running event is part of the NIMRA Championships (Long Distance) and NIMRA League. It is organised by BARF (Belfast Association of Rock Climbers and Fellrunners). The race takes place in County Down.

There are two course options. The long course covers a distance of 21.50 km with 1650 m of ascent. A shorter course is also available, with a distance of 10.50 km.

The event has a mandatory kit requirement designated as Level C (Advanced). All runners must bring specific items to the race, including a waterproof jacket with hood and taped seams, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, charged mobile phone, foil blanket or bivvy bag, waterproof full leg cover, means to carry at least 500 mL of water, emergency food, a map, and a compass.
