Mandatory kit and rules

Mandatory kit level is C - Advanced. Required items to be carried include a waterproof jacket with integrated hood and taped seams, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, foil blanket or bivvy bag, waterproof full leg cover, means to carry at least 500 mL of water, emergency food, a map of the route/area, and a compass. The exact kit to be carried may be finalised on the day depending on conditions and will be advised at registration. Failure to carry required items may result in denial of entry or disqualification; random kit checks may be carried out.
