June 2026

A trail race at Donard Forest Park on 4 June 2026, Millstone covers 8 km with 500 m of climb over partially marked forest paths. Entry is via SiEntries and the event is organised by Newcastle AC.

A measured 5 mile chip-timed race from CS Lewis Square that follows the Connswater Greenway into Victoria Park and back, on mixed road, trail and grass surfaces.

A 5K trail race in Phoenix Park on 9 June 2026 featuring a fast two lap grass course, BHAA prizes, and member and non-member entry fees; numbers collected at the Civil Service Clubhouse.

An 8 km mountain race with about 800 m of climb, run anti-clockwise from Ott Car Park. The unmarked route requires competitors to carry full body cover and wear race numbers on the chest.

A chip-timed 5 km run in Trim on 12 June 2026, organised by Trim Athletic Club, with a riverside route past medieval monuments. First 450 entrants receive a technical t-shirt; entrants must be 16 or older.

July 2026

A mountain running event around Spelga reservoir on 4 July 2026 offering a **20 km** championship course and a new **11 km** league course, both requiring mandatory safety kit and navigation with physical map and compass.

Sea2Sky on 17 July 2026 in Newcastle, Co. Down features 5K and 10K routes that mix promenade, road, trail and open-mountain terrain, with chip timing, a finisher medal and post-race refreshments.

Carnavaddy is a fully marked mountain running event in Ravensdale Forest with a long 10 km route and a short 5 km route, both including summit sections and woodland trails. Level B mandatory kit is required and GPS use is not permitted.

Seven Sevens is a mountain running event in County Down on 8 August 2026 covering 31 km with about 2800 m of ascent. Organised by BARF, the route has only major junction markings and GPS use is not allowed.

Scrabo in County Down is a NIMRA short-championship mountain race organised by Ballydrain Harriers on 20 August 2026. The course is 6.30 km with 360 m climb; only major junctions are marked and GPS is not allowed.
