August 2026

A 10 km mountain run in County Wicklow with about 680 m ascent on an unmarked route visiting Art's Cross, Fair Mountain and White Hill. Part of the Leinster Championship, mandatory Level C kit is required and GPS is not allowed.

The Belmont and Little Sugar Loaf will take place in Belmont Demesne on Wednesday 5 August 2026. You can run between 5 and 9 kilometers.

An uphill mountain race at Barravore, County Wicklow on 7 August 2026 with two route options and mandatory Level B kit. The event is part of the Irish Uphill League and capped at 50 entries.

A marked mountain half marathon in Tinahely, County Wicklow with about 21.7 km and 1,080 m of ascent. Part of the Leinster Half Marathon League, it awards 1 ITRA point and includes mandatory Level B kit requirements.

A new 10 km trail race in County Wicklow with 500 m of climb and a route still to be confirmed. The event is part of the Leinster Weekend, requires Level B kit, and does not allow GPS devices.

A hill run around Paddock Hill near Laragh County Wicklow organised by local mountain rescue teams with looped courses of about 8 km and a roughly 5 km junior course on fully marked trails.

A marked trail race at Ticknock on 15 August 2026 with a main 7.7 km loop (about 330 m climb) and a 4.0 km junior option; route features singletrack and a loop via Fairy Castle and requires basic mandatory kit.

September 2026

A trail running festival in Fauna Forest, Donard, Co. Wicklow on 13 September 2026 offering 5 mile, 10 mile and half marathon routes with marked courses, checkpoints and on-site refreshments.

A 16.4 km mountain circuit in Wicklow with about 1000 m ascent, unmarked route and GPS allowed. Level C mandatory kit is required and the event forms part of the Leinster Championship.

EcoTrail Wicklow offers trail races from 10K to 80K starting and finishing on Bray Seafront, with routes across coastal paths, forests and the Wicklow Mountains. The 80K option includes over 2600 m of elevation gain.

A three leg mountain relay across County Wicklow covering 49 km and 2,170 m ascent. The route is unmarked, GPS devices are not allowed and Level C mandatory kit must be carried.

Solo mountain running across three relay legs in County Wicklow, covering 49.0 km and 2,170 m ascent. The unmarked route forbids GPS and requires Level C mandatory kit with checkpoints and cutoffs in place.
