The Derrybawn Trail is a mountain running event located in Wicklow. This race is part of the Trail League Leinster and is organized as a feature of the inaugural Leinster Weekend. The event has a total entry limit of 250 participants and takes place on terrain where only major junctions are marked.
The event offers a single distance for participants:
- 10 km distance with 500 m of climbing.
The race difficulty is categorized as easy terrain with specific climbing and distance parameters. Per the Irish Mountain Running Association (IMRA) safety guidelines, participants are required to have Level B mandatory kit. This equipment includes a waterproof jacket, a hat or buff, gloves, a whistle, and a charged mobile phone with the emergency number stored. Additionally, a foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent must be brought to the event. Organizers confirm the final kit requirements on the day of the race based on prevailing conditions.
Registration is open to seniors, participants over 65, and juniors under 18. Use of GPS devices for navigation is not permitted during the event.
