Lug Uphill is scheduled for Friday 14 August 2026 in Barravore, County Wicklow. The course distance is 6.00 km with a reported climb of 800 m. The event is part of the Irish Uphill League and is introduced as a new race in the inaugural Leinster Weekend. It is also designated as the first of two trial races for the Nasego Mountain Running Six Nations event in Italy on 5-6 September 2026. The second trial race is the Tinahely half marathon on 15 August.

Route, kit and entry information

Route and logistics are in development and subject to permissions and permits. Race marking will indicate only major junctions. GPS use is not allowed. The mandatory kit is Level B - Standard and includes: a waterproof jacket; hat or buff; gloves; whistle; a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored; and a foil blanket, bivvy bag or equivalent. Runners must have the means to carry the kit. The final kit to be carried during the race will be confirmed on the day. Failure to carry required items may lead to denied entry or disqualification; random checks may be carried out. No entry details are listed yet; entries for league events usually open a couple of weeks before the event.
