Scrabo (NIMRA Champs)

Scrabo is a mountain running event in County Down held as part of the NIMRA Championships (Short) and organised by Ballydrain Harriers. The course distance is 6.30 km with 360 m of climb. The route has only major junctions marked and use of GPS devices is not permitted.

Sea2Sky in Donard Park, Newcastle features evening 10K race and walk plus a 5K race that moves from promenade to forest and the Mourne foothills, with mixed road, trail and an open-mountain section and post-race refreshments.

A 19 mile, 8500 ft challenge walk across the highest Mourne peaks on 8 August 2026. Participants follow their own route between fixed checkpoints and require mountain navigation skills and prior experience.

A mountain fell race in the Western Mournes based at Sandy Brae on 29 August 2026. The route covers 11 km with 768 m of ascent, includes named control points and marked sections, and requires compulsory mountain safety kit.
