The Buzzard's Roost is scheduled for Saturday 3rd October 2026 in County Down. The race distance is 11.90 km with a total climb of 870 m. A short course is not listed. Only major junctions on the route will be marked. GPS use is not allowed. The event forms part of the Ulster Championship league.

Mandatory kit and race rules

The event requires Level C kit. Required items include a waterproof jacket with integrated hood and taped seams, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, charged mobile phone with emergency number stored, foil blanket or bivvy bag, waterproof full leg cover, means to carry at least 500 mL of water, emergency food, and a map and compass. Runners must be able to carry all required kit if requested. The final kit to be carried may be specified on the day and will be advised at registration. Failure to have the required items may result in denial of entry or disqualification; random checks may be carried out.

Entries and volunteering
