Hillsborough Castle and Gardens Running Festival

The Hillsborough Castle and Gardens Running Festival takes place on 26 July 2026 and supports the charity Action Mental Health. Races start and finish within the grounds of Hillsborough Castle and Gardens, which dates from the 18th century and serves as an official royal residence in Northern Ireland.

The course runs on paths within the estate and includes sections around Hillsborough Lake and other garden areas. The route uses footpaths that are free from traffic and includes mixed surfaces, making it a multi-terrain course.

Distances offered at the festival include:

  • 10K
  • Half Marathon

Event partners and supporters are listed for the festival. Results and race photos are available after the event. The venue is open to visitors and the festival takes place within the castle grounds rather than on public roads. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
