SkyRun the Mournes

SkyRun the Mournes is a mountain running event held in the Mourne mountains on 10th October 2026. The event features three distinct races that follow mapped mountain routes and include marked elevation profiles and support on course.

The event offers these distance options:

  • Mourne SkyUltra: 50 km / 31 mi
  • Mourne Skyline: 35 km / 22 mi
  • Mourne SkyTrail: 20 km / 12.5 mi

Each race lists a documented elevation gain: the SkyUltra shows 3,500 m+ / 11,500 ft+, the Skyline 2,700 m+ / 8,900 ft+, and the SkyTrail 1,300 m+ / 4,300 ft+. Cut-off limits are specified for each distance: a 12 hour limit for the SkyUltra, an 8 hour limit for the Skyline, and a 4 hour limit for the SkyTrail. Aid station provision varies by race; the SkyUltra has two aid stations and the Skyline has one aid station. The SkyTrail notes a finisher beer for participants.
