A circular 14 mile trail half marathon across the Yorkshire Wolds on undulating, non technical terrain with GPX and marked junctions. Plantable wildflower medal, charity donations from entry fees, and a five hour overall cut off.

A 50 mile trail ultramarathon around Chester with 849 m of ascent, seven checkpoints, live GPS tracking and a 17 hour cut off. The route links the Sandstone Trail and the North Cheshire Way and is licensed by the Trail Running Association.

Trail runs at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden on 28 February 2027 offer 5km, 10km and half marathon distances with live chip timing. Canicross is allowed and finishers receive a medal, merchandise, snack and drink.

March 2027

Experience a classic 15 km fell race through the South West Pennines. Starting from Barley Village Hall, this event features 545 meters of ascent and requires navigation skills for all participants.

A moorland trail event around Saddleworth offering 26 km, 43 km and 62 km routes that visit reservoirs and rough moorland. Entry fees include refreshments, tracking, medical cover and a post event meal.

Trail races at Loggerheads Country Park in March 2027 offering 5k, 5k canicross and a new 10km route. Varied terrain, riverside paths and a staircase section add distinctive challenges.

Trail runs of 10 km and 20 km take place at Beacon Fell Country Park on 7 March 2027 with chip timing and medals for finishers. Pre registration is required and there is a three hour cut off time.

A new half marathon at Grizedale Forest on 7 March 2027, run on marked, chip timed forest trails with views over Coniston Water. Runners may bring up to two dogs and a 12k option is also available.

A night-time trail 10 km at Coombe Abbey Park, Coventry where a head torch is required and Petzl may offer demo lamps. The route runs through woodland and meadow with basic on-site facilities and parking.

Trail running at Leighton Hall in the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape with a 10k and two half marathon formats. Courses use mainly hard packed trails with water stations, marshals, on site parking and no dogs allowed.

A 51 km off road fell race from Haworth across gritstone moors with 1615 m of ascent, mandatory FRA kit and six feed stations. Early starts and guided reccy runs are available before race day.

Two Crosses Circuit is a challenge event organised by East Lancashire LDWA, next scheduled for 14 March 2027. It is listed as an LDWA challenge event and falls within the association's usual challenge event framework of 20 to 100 miles.

A 32 mile ultra from Powis Estate in Welshpool to Caffi Wylfa in Chirk with two aid stations, varied terrain and finishers plates. The event includes parking options and an optional coach service from Chirk.

A self navigated 50 km trail loop from Hayfield on the Pennine Bridleway with 1840 m ascent, flexible start times and Ranger Ultras Safety Team support. GPX, on course refreshments and finishers eco medals are provided.

An 18 km spring trail run on the Pennine Bridleway from Hayfield to Rushup Edge with 806 m of ascent and a flexible start window. The route is self navigated with on course support and finishers receive eco medals.

An eight hour looped ultramarathon at Heaton Park where runners complete repeated 5.6 km laps on mixed terrain. Options include Saturday, Sunday or both days with combined results for those who run the double.

A 70KM Lake District traverse following Wainwright’s Coast to Coast route from St Bees to Patterdale, with checkpoints at Ennerdale and Borrowdale. Overall cut-off 18 hours and finishers earn ITRA endurance points.

A multi-day 300 km crossing of England along Wainwright’s Coast to Coast route from St Bees to Robin Hood's Bay, with checkpoints offering food, sleeping facilities and live tracking. Entries run from 27 April 2026 to 1 March 2027.

A point to point 100 km mountain ultra across the Lake District from St Bees to Shap following the Coast to Coast route. Structured checkpoints, mandatory kit and live tracking support participants with a 30 hour overall cut off.

A 32 mile loop from Baggeridge Country Park near Dudley on 21 March 2027. The mostly traffic free route uses disused railway lines and canal towpaths, includes three checkpoints and a mandatory head torch section through the 2.7 km Netherto..
