The Stan Bradshaw Pendle Round is a fell race held on Saturday 7 March 2026 in the South/West Pennines. The race starts and finishes outside Barley Village Hall, Barley, near Burnley, Lancashire. It is a Category BM fell race with a minimum age of 18 on race day. The event is held under UK Athletics rules and is registered with the Fell Runners Association; it has FRA permit and associated UKA insurance.

Course, entries and prizes

The course is approximately 15 km with about 545 m of ascent and follows a multi-checkpoint route across Pendle terrain. A route map is available from the organiser’s website. Pre-entry and entry-on-the-day are offered, subject to an overall limit of 300 entrants. Pre-entry fees are £6 for FRA members and £9 for non-members; entry-on-the-day fees are £8 for FRA members and £10 for non-members. Pre-entries close on 21 February 2025. Registration takes place in the village hall from 9.00 am.

Perpetual trophies are held for the first male, first female and first under-23 for eleven months. Vouchers from a specialist retailer are awarded to top finishers across male and female top three positions and to category winners in veteran age groups (from V40/MV40 up to V70/MV70). No team prizes are offered. Results are published online after the race. Soup, cakes, tea and coffee are available in the village hall before and after the event.
