Lakeland Paws: Grizedale half marathon
This event is the first time Lakeland Paws has offered a half marathon route, presented during its fifth season. The course is based at Grizedale Forest and uses wide forest pathways with sections of single track. The route runs on both sides of the forest and provides views over Coniston Water.
The event includes the following distance options:
- Half marathon - mainly wide forest pathways with some single-track sections.
- 12k option - stays on the west side of the forest.
The event has no cut-offs. It is chip timed and marked, and GPX files are available for download. Participants may run with up to two dogs, or without a dog. The minimum age for entry is 16 years. Entries open on 27 April 2026 and close on 6 March 2027. The published entry fee is £20.00.
