Lakeland Paws: Grizedale half marathon

The event is the fifth season of the Lakeland Paws series and the first time a half marathon distance is offered. It takes place at Grizedale Forest and uses wide forest pathways as well as sections of single track. The route uses both sides of the forest and provides views over Coniston Water.

The course is chip timed and marked. GPX files are available for download. There are no cut-offs for the event. Participants may run with up to two dogs. A shorter option of 12k remains on the west side of the forest.

Practical details from the organiser include a minimum age of 16 and an entry fee of £20. Entries open on 27 April 2026 and close on 6 March 2027. The event is scheduled for 7 March 2027.
