The Ultra Loop - Manchester

Prestwich, United Kingdom • 20-21 Mar 2027

The Ultra Loop Manchester

The Ultra Loop is an eight hour looped ultramarathon held at Heaton Park, Manchester. Participants run repeated circuits of a park course of about 5.6 kilometres per lap, mixing park road and woodland trail with roughly 80 metres of elevation. The route passes features such as the Boating Lake, Heaton Hall and woodland streams. The course is not closed to the public, so runners should expect walkers and dog walkers on sections of the route.

All laps are recorded at a single start/finish line that also serves as the aid station and spectator area. Results show the number of laps completed, total distance and time elapsed. Any laps not completed before the event cut-off are not included in results. Every finisher receives a finishing time and a medal.

Entries are available for either day of the weekend or for both days combined. On the second day the route is run in reverse and combined weekend distances appear in a separate leaderboard for double entrants. Race numbers are retained for both days with a fresh bib provided on day two. Entry fees are listed between £36 and £60.

On-site facilities include an aid station supplying water, fruit, sweet and savoury snacks, energy bars and electrolytes. A bag drop and portaloos are available. The event does not allow children under 12 to participate; ages 12 to 15 require a parent or guardian to attend and arrange the place.
