Alderley Park Trail 5 Mile 2026

The Alderley Park Trail 5 Mile is organised by Run North West and takes place on 21 July 2026 at Alderley Park, Congleton Road, Nether Alderley, Macclesfield (postcode SK10 4TG). The event is licensed by the TRA and is run under UKA Athletics rules.

The course starts outside the Glasshouse building and follows an approximately 5 miles route completed over two laps within the park grounds. The route passes woodland, an ornamental lake, a working farm and other landscaped areas of Alderley Park.

Participant services listed for the event include chip timing, commemorative technical finishers t shirts for all participants, first aid cover, toilets, a drinks station at the finish and baggage storage. There is free parking at Race HQ and bike storage is available. Results are published immediately online and a text message result can be sent to participants who supply a mobile number.

Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers based on gun times with presentations after the race. Veteran prizes are determined by chip times and posted to winners; age groups run from V35 to V85 plus in five year increments and there is a prize for the first U20. Minimum age for entry is 16. Entries close when capacity is reached or at midnight before the race; when sold out there is no official waiting list or entries on the day. Trail runs nearby

A 3 km or 5 km run at Bowdon Rugby Club with drinking stations every kilometre and a mix of inflatable and non inflatable obstacles. Drinks are included and only participants aged 18 or over may take part.

Three trail routes start at Bakewell Showground and explore varied Peak District terrain including moors, valleys and parts of the Pennine Way. The Half Marathon route includes outposts and does not allow dogs.

A timed track ultra at Woodbank Park where runners complete as many 400 m laps as possible within 6, 12 or 24 hour limits, with chip timing, an aid station and indoor facilities on site.

Trail runs at Tatton Park on 31 May 2026 offer 5km, 10km and half marathon routes through parkland and woodlands, live chip timing, on-site parking and a canicross-friendly policy.
