Stoke On Trent Pretty Muddy 5k

The Stoke On Trent Pretty Muddy is a 5k obstacle event at Central Forest Park, Chell Street, Stoke On Trent, ST1 6BD, taking place on Sunday 26 July 2026. The course starts and finishes on the grass area by the lake and Visitors Centre and runs over a mixture of grass, woodland and tarmacked paths.

Participants climb, crawl and slide around a sequence of muddy obstacles. Waves are staggered every 15 minutes and marshals are on course to provide assistance; participants may skip an obstacle if required. The event is open to people aged 13 and older. A separate Pretty Muddy Kids programme exists for younger children aged 12 and under.

Available facilities at the event include refreshments and toilets. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users and is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs are not allowed. There is limited cycle parking and no electric vehicle charging at the venue. Blue badge holders can park at the Central Forest Park car park; other visitors are directed to nearby Hanley city centre car parks and drop off is available at the park entrance. Bus routes serve Chell Street and Hanley Bus Station is within walking distance.

Entry includes a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a finishers medal. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions are advised to consult a doctor beforehand. July the Turd is a run offering 8 miles, 16 miles and a full marathon around the Ironbridge valley. The route mixes tracks, paths and road and the event finishes at The Unicorn Inn with parking on site and finisher bling.

Fell races for senior and junior runners in Warslow on 4 July 2026. The senior course is 10 km with 675 m ascent, limited to 150 entrants and held under Fell Runners Association licence number 2026 9716.

A multi-distance trail event based in Bakewell across the Southern Peak District, offering options from 10 miles to 100 km with camping, GPS tracking, marqueed rest stops, catering and on-site medical support.

A 10 km (6 miles) fell race around Great Hucklow that crosses the Dark Peak and White Peak, run over varied upland terrain. The event is organised by local volunteers and finishers receive a flapjack at the finish.
