Stoke On Trent Pretty Muddy 5k

The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course at Central Forest Park, Chell Street, Stoke On Trent, on Sunday 26 July 2026. The start and finish are on the grass area by the lake and Visitors Centre. The course runs on a mixture of grass, woodland and tarmacked paths and includes a series of obstacles to climb, crawl and slide through. Waves start every 15 minutes to manage flow on the course; marshals are available to assist participants.

Entry prices listed are Adults £22.49 and Children £12.00. A minimum fundraising target of £50.00 applies. Participants must be at least 13 years old on the day of the event.

On-site facilities include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are not allowed. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users and is not suitable for pushchairs; showers and bag drop are not available. Sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee and Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends. A QR code will provide British Sign Language stage content.

Transport access notes indicate the venue can be reached on foot and by local bus routes to Chell Street; Stoke Station is the closest mainline rail station, a short drive from the park. A new fell race from Sinfin Running Club around the Chevin covering 8.9 km with 315 m of climb. The marked course uses two short loops and a figure of eight and includes some short road sections.

A backyard ultra at Far Coley Farm on 29 May 2026 where runners complete a 4.167 mile loop every hour until one runner remains. The event features a race village, limited on site accommodation and basic recovery facilities.

A 3 km or 5 km run at Bowdon Rugby Club with drinking stations every kilometre and a mix of inflatable and non inflatable obstacles. Drinks are included and only participants aged 18 or over may take part.

Three trail routes start at Bakewell Showground and explore varied Peak District terrain including moors, valleys and parts of the Pennine Way. The Half Marathon route includes outposts and does not allow dogs.
