Event overview
The Railway Ultra is a multi-distance running event on the banks of the River Severn between Ironbridge and Bridgnorth. The course follows a disused railway line with visible river views and traces of former industrial activity. The event is scheduled to return in 2026 with a winter edition on 21 February 2026 and a summer edition on 1 August 2026.
The event headquarters is located at TF8 7JF on the disused railway behind The Woodbridge Public House. There is a seven hour cut off for the event.

Each out-and-back lap is 9.4 miles. Aid stations are provided approximately every 4.7 miles. Parking is about a 10 minute walk away at the Coalport China Museum and at Coalport YHA, where charges apply.
