Ragleth Inn Fell Race

Church Stretton, United Kingdom • 12 Aug 2026

Ragleth Inn Fell Race

The event is a fell race based at the Ragleth Inn in Little Stretton. The course is a clockwise circuit of approximately 4.4 km with about 390 m of total ascent, classified AS. The route follows the same layout as 2024 and uses three control points: CP1 at the south side of the stream crossing, CP2 partway up the older descent, and CP3 at Callow summit. Runners may choose any route between checkpoints. The finish is located about 200 m up from the gate for a safer finish area. Dibbers will be used and there is an additional prize for the fastest descent from Callow.

Registration and race numbers are handled on race day in the covered area in the back garden of the Ragleth Inn, with presentation taking place in the pub afterwards. Parking is available in the signed car park field off Elms Paddock SY6 6RD, about 50 m from the inn; the pub car park should not be used. Toilets are available at the Ragleth Inn and campsite WCs must not be used. Entry is available on the day or by pre-entry with fees of £7 in advance and £10 on the night. Junior races run up and down Callow Hill with distances set by age and on-the-day entry. FRA U15 competitors are permitted to enter the senior race this year. In rainy conditions a rain or wind top is requested. After costs, some funds will go to charities including Shropshire Hospice and a fee to the National Trust.
