Castle 2 Castle #Ultra is an ultramarathon scheduled for Saturday 28th February 2026. The race covers a distance of 32 miles and has a minimum age of 20 years. The event is listed as sold out. The start area is in the grounds of Powis Estate and the event HQ is at the Town Hall, Broad Street, Welshpool, SY21 7JQ. The finish is at Caffi Wylfa in Chirk. Finishers receive a plate and goodies at Caffi Wylfa. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers.

Course and logistics

The route uses a mix of flat, fast paths and undulating public footpaths, with some inclines and varied scenery. Organizers plan water and food stations at around 11 miles and 21 miles. A route map is available and a GPX file is planned. Event HQ and the start are a short walk from several town centre car parks in Welshpool. An optional coach service runs from Chirk for a fee of £10 per person; runners using the coach have free parking near the finish and a short walking distance to the finish area.
