Castle 2 Castle #Ultra is scheduled for Saturday 28th February 2026 and is listed as sold out. The event is an ultra-distance run of 32 miles that starts in the grounds of Powis Estate in Welshpool and finishes at Caffi Wylfa in Chirk. The minimum age for entry is 20 years.

Organisers state the route combines flat fast paths with undulating public footpaths and includes some climbs and open views. Prizes are planned for the top three male and top three female finishers. Finishers receive a plate and additional goodies at Caffi Wylfa.

Course and logistics

Race headquarters and the stated start area are at Powis Estate / Town Hall, Broad Street, Welshpool, SY21 7JQ. The HQ is a short walk from several town centre car parks; Welshpool also has on-street parking and multiple public car parks nearby.

Two water and food stations are planned at approximately 11 miles and 21 miles on the course. A shuttle coach option is available from Chirk to the start, allowing runners to leave vehicles near the finish; the coach is offered as an optional paid service.
