Community Traverse Coast to Coast 300KM

The Coast to Coast 300KM is a multi-day ultra that follows Wainwright’s Coast to Coast route from the Irish Sea at St Bees to the North Sea at Robin Hood’s Bay. The route crosses three national parks: the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and North York Moors, and includes mountain trails, moorland, forest tracks, farmland, and road crossings.

Participants must be capable of managing themselves across multiple days in remote and mountainous environments and should be competent in navigation. A mandatory kit list applies and live tracking will be used for all participants. A GPX file and final route details will be issued in advance.

Structured checkpoints are positioned along the route; checkpoint locations include Ennerdale, Borrowdale, Patterdale, Shap, Kirkby Stephen, Richmond, Ingleby Arncliffe, and Egton Bridge. Checkpoints will provide water and hot food with vegan and gluten free options, snacks and race nutrition, sleeping facilities, toilet facilities, and first aid support. A bag drop service will be available at selected checkpoints.

Key event details: entry fee £155, minimum age 20, overall event cut off 112 hours. Entries open 27 April 2026 and close 1 March 2027. The event is registered with the International Trail Running Association and finishers earn ITRA endurance points. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
