Community Traverse - Sprint 70KM

The Sprint 70 km follows a condensed section of Wainwright's Coast to Coast route across the Lake District, starting at St Bees and finishing in Patterdale. The event is part of the Coast2Coast series and is organised by Community Traverse.

The route follows the official Coast to Coast path between St Bees and Patterdale. Sections are way marked but participants should not rely solely on way marks for navigation. Terrain includes coastal paths, steep climbs, rocky descents and mountain ground. Conditions can vary significantly with the weather. A GPX file and final route details will be provided in advance.

Structured checkpoints are provided along the route, with key locations including Ennerdale, Borrowdale and Patterdale at the finish. Checkpoints will offer water, hot food with vegan and gluten free options, snacks and race nutrition, indoor access, toilet facilities and first aid support.

The overall cut off for the event is 18 hours. Individual checkpoint cut offs will be detailed in the final race pack. Live tracking is in place and trackers must be returned. A mandatory kit list applies. Participants who withdraw must inform race control and report to the nearest checkpoint.

Minimum age for entry is 20 or older and the entry fee is £55. The event is registered with ITRA and finishers earn ITRA endurance points. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
