Saddleworth Res's is an off-road trail event on Saddleworth Moor near Greenfield, Oldham (venue: Saddleworth Rangers Rugby Club, OL3 7LD). The event offers multiple unmarked routes that visit local reservoirs and moorland terrain. Open Tracking will be used to provide live tracking and results. Courses and requirements

  • 5 Res's - 25 km, 710 m ascent
  • 10 Res's - 44 km, 1314 m ascent
  • 15 Res's - 60 km, 1876 m ascent

Each route requires participants to navigate the course themselves and visit checkpoints in the correct order. Checkpoint support varies by course (for example, the 5 Res's has two checkpoints; the 10 Res's has three; the 15 Res's has five, with some indoors). Minimum ages apply: 17 for the 5 Res's, 18 for the 10 Res's, and 20 for the 15 Res's.

Mandatory kit includes waterproof body cover, hat and gloves, spare long sleeve top, paper map, compass and whistle, basic first aid kit, survival bag, headtorch with spare batteries (not required on the 5 Res's), and extra food and water.
