Petzl Night Trails 10K - Coombe Abbey (March)

Petzl Night Trails 10k Coombe Abbey (March)

The event is a trail 10k held at Coombe Abbey Park, CV3 2AB on the outskirts of Coventry. The route uses an adapted winter course between October and April and is undulating but not hilly. The surface includes woodland, meadow and grass fields and may be muddy or firm depending on recent weather. Runners should expect exposed tree roots, uneven ground and a few gates.

A head or chest torch is required for the event; no torch means no entry. The organiser expects representatives from Petzl to attend with demo head torches, subject to final confirmation. Drinks will be available on course in biodegradable cups; reusable or collapsible cups are allowed but not required for this race.

Dogs are not permitted because the course has a tighter section with an out-and-back that could cause congestion. There is a toilet block next to the event headquarters. Parking on site costs up to £3 for 1-2 hours.

Entry fees follow a tiered pricing structure: before 09/02/2027 the fee is £16, after 09/02/2027 the fee is £21. Unaffiliated entrants pay an additional £2. The effective cut-off is two hours, based on medic coverage and daylight considerations.

The event offers a choice between a traditional medal and a Big Bear Tree Token; each token results in a tree being planted and contains wildflower seeds. There is an optional fundraising link for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity during entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
