Trail Running calendar near Glenridding 2026-2027

A MapRun navigation event in Braithwaite, Lake District on 20 Sep 2026, using electronic controls and a Category O course. Open to those aged 14 and over, with pre entry via SiEntries or on the day entry.

A 24-hour, self-directed trail challenge at Leighton Hall on a 5 km off-road loop. Individual, couples and team entries let participants swap turns, run through the night, and target distance or time-on-feet prizes.

A 30 km hill race from Traquair House to Broughton Ales across the Scottish Borders with roughly 1500 m of ascent. The route uses hill tracks and open heather, has eight marshalled checkpoints and requires mandatory emergency kit.

A charity relay in Malham on 27 September 2026 with mixed teams made up on the day. Each leg is about 0.70 miles with 240 feet of climb, entry is £5 per person and all ages run together.

A BM category fell race in Waddington on 27 September 2026 covering 11.3 km with 415 m ascent. The route is marshalled and partially flagged with a checkpoint on Waddington Fell and a cut off at Summit House Farm.

A 10 km trail race at Rising Sun Country Park near Newcastle upon Tyne on 27 September 2026, featuring mixed terrain through grassland and woodland. A Canicross option is available and the minimum age is 16.

Looped trail event in Blackpool on 27 September 2026, featuring a 10K loop and options up to an ultra. The route passes Marton Mere, Blackpool Zoo and Stanley Park, with on-course refreshments and a bespoke finisher medal.

A five mile trail race in Worsley Woods on 27 September 2026, organised by Swinton Running Club and based at Beesley Green Community Centre. Tickets are available as affiliated or unaffiliated and race numbers are collected on the day.

Three trail races take place on the grounds of Floors Castle in 2026, with options of 10 km, 5 km and a Junior 3 km. Courses use hard packed gravel trails and finish on the castle lawn with estate access and event facilities.
