Roddlesworth Roller

Abbey Village, United Kingdom • 8 Mar 2026

About the Event

The event is located in Abbey Village, starting at Abbey Village CP School. It consists of two separate trail races: the Roddlesworth Roller and the Daffodil Doddle. Proceeds from both races support Abbey Village Primary School's PTA.

Race Distances

The event offers two distances:

  • Roddlesworth Roller - A 9 km trail race on paths and quiet roads, passing lakes and woodland. The minimum age is 16 years.
  • Daffodil Doddle - A 2.2 km trail race that is fully off-road and traffic-free. This is the 38th annual edition of this race, which has an entry limit of 200 participants. The minimum age is 4 years, and runners under 10 are recommended to be accompanied by an adult.

Event Information

Race packs and numbers are collected on the day at the venue. Parking at the school is limited, with parking suggested on nearby roads and car parks. Car sharing is encouraged. The courses are fully marshalled, signed, and have first aid cover. For the Roddlesworth Roller, trainers with good grip are recommended.

All finishers receive a free medal, as well as free food and drink after finishing. Additional refreshments are available for purchase. The Daffodil Doddle features chip timing.

Prizes are awarded for both races. For the 9 km race, prizes go to the first three men and women overall, with veteran and team categories subject to sufficient entries. For the 2.2 km race, prizes are awarded to the first three males and females, the first boy and girl from Abbey Village School, and a team prize.
