Race for Life Pretty Muddy Liverpool - Sefton Park

Race for Life Pretty Muddy is a 5 km obstacle event at Sefton Park in Liverpool on Saturday 25 July 2026. The course asks participants to climb, crawl and slide through muddy obstacles and is designed to be completed at an individual pace. Participants must be 13 years of age or older.

The route runs on a mix of gravel paths and grass and includes some undulations that are not significant. Grass sections can become boggy in wet weather. Start and finish lines are located on the field to the left of the Sefton Park Obelisk. Wave starts are staggered every 15 minutes to manage on-course safety.

Transport notes state there is no designated event parking or drop off zone and no bike racks. Buses 75, 80 and 80A run frequently from Liverpool Lime Street to Harrington Road, a short walk from the park. Trains run from Liverpool Central to St Michaels with a walking approach to the site. Refreshments and toilets are available on site. Dogs, bag drop and showers are not available, and the event is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchair users.

Entry fees are listed as £22.49 for adults and £12.00 for children, with a minimum fundraising target of £50. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training materials, community support and a Race for Life finishers medal. Sunflower wristbands and BSL stage content are available as accessibility supports, and medical advice is recommended for those with pre existing conditions.
