This event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course held in Sefton Park, Liverpool. The course runs on a mix of gravel paths and grass and includes obstacles that require participants to climb, crawl and slide. The park covers 235 acres with lakes, winding paths and varied terrain. The route has some undulations, though these are not significant, and grass sections can become boggy in wet weather.

Waves start every 15 minutes to manage numbers on the course. Participants must be 13 years of age or older. There are separate Pretty Muddy Kids events for younger children.

The meeting point for start and finish is the field to the left of the Sefton Park Obelisk. Facilities listed for the event include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are not allowed. The event is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for pushchairs. Bag drop and showers are not available. There is no designated parking, drop off zone or blue badge parking at the event. Event staff provide accessibility support on site, sunflower wristbands are available at the enquiries marquee, and a QR code will provide British Sign Language stage content.
