Pie and Peas 5 - Moulton

Pie and Peas 5 is a 5 mile multi-terrain undulating one-lap race on a new course in Moulton near Northwich, Cheshire. The event takes place on Wednesday 5 August 2026 and is organised by Vale Royal Athletic Club. Start and finish are on the playing fields behind The Royal British Legion, Main Road, Moulton, CW9 8PB.

Prizes are awarded for male and female open 1st to 3rd and for first in the age categories U20, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65, V70, V75 and V80 plus. There is a team prize for first team (four to count, first claim only) and a prize for the first Moulton resident. The event licence number is 31394.

All entrants receive a pie and peas supper with meat, cheese and onion, vegan and gluten-free options. Minimum age is fifteen on the night. Numbers are to be collected on the night at the British Legion. The event is not suitable for buggies or runners with dogs.

Entry fees are shown as £20 for unaffiliated runners and £18 for affiliated runners; a £2 UKA discount is deducted at checkout when the entry name matches the EA licence. The event currently operates a waiting list and payment is made only if a place is offered and accepted. Organisers state there are no refunds under any circumstances. An approximately four mile multi terrain race on 2 July 2026, starting and finishing at Care & Repair on Rowley’s Drive in Shotton. Entry is £10 or £8 for affiliated club members and prizes are given across all age categories.

Fell races for senior and junior runners in Warslow on 4 July 2026. The senior course is 10 km with 675 m ascent, limited to 150 entrants and held under Fell Runners Association licence number 2026 9716.

A muddy 5 km obstacle event at Heaton Park featuring climbs, crawls and slides across grass, paths and woodland. Waves start every 15 minutes, participants must be 13 or older, and fundraising support plus a medal are provided.

On a Plod MCR on 4 July at Steel Foundry CrossFit in Salford Quays is an inclusive backyard ultra on a 3 km loop. Participants may start anytime within a five hour window and run as many laps as they choose with live tracking and awards.
