Wirral Backyard Ultra

Wirral Backyard Ultra is scheduled for 25 July 2026 at The Sidings, Wirral Country Park, Station Road, Thurstaston, CH61 0HN. The event is organised by Backyard Ultra UK and is listed as sold out with a waiting list available.

The event uses the Backyard Ultra format. Competitors complete a loop of 4.167 miles (6.7 km) each hour. Each lap must be finished within 60 minutes and any remaining time may be used to rest before the next loop. Runners continue hour by hour until only one participant remains able to start the next lap. All runners start together and the course is a repeated loop rather than a fixed distance race.

The course runs through parkland with open greenery and coastal views, using a looped trail around Wirral Country Park. Event services include an entry ticket, participant medals, a winner trophy and medal, a limited rest marquee for those without a personal pitch, designated pitches to set up rest areas, hot and cold water, drinks and snacks, and access for unlimited supporters or spectators. The event also includes professional videography and professional photography as part of the organiser provision.

The listed entry fee for the event was £115.99. Refund, transfer and substitution conditions are set by the organiser and were published with the event details. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
