Grasmere Wild Trail Runs 2026

Grasmere Wild Trail Runs is a two-day Lake District event on 28 and 29 March 2026 held at the Showfield on Stock Lane in Grasmere, Cumbria. Saturday features trail running and Sunday features Sprint and Standard duathlons.

Routes are provided for two main running distances:

  • 5 km - a scenic lap of Grasmere Water.
  • 10 km - a longer route that passes Grasmere Village, Grasmere Water, Rydal Water and Rydal Caves.

The event is canicross friendly; one controlled dog per runner is permitted. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive an event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a drink with a snack. An exclusive event T-shirt is available to purchase for £12 with entry.

Parking is limited on site and available for £4; organisers will accommodate as many vehicles as possible but some competitors may need to use nearby public parking if the ground is wet or the car park is full. An INOV8 shoe demo is scheduled for the Saturday trail running day. Age limits are listed for individual distances on the event information pages.
